Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of Elastic Stack implementations including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and Beats
Manage large-scale data migration, platform modernization, and search/analytics integration projects
Serve as primary client point of contact for technical program governance and stakeholder management
Develop comprehensive project plans covering infrastructure design, data ingestion, security implementation, and user adoption
Coordinate cross-functional teams including data engineers, platform architects, security specialists, and business analysts
Manage project scope, budget timeline, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent initiatives
Identify and mitigate technical and business risks including performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and integration challenges
Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, data governance policies, and compliance requirements
Facilitate agile ceremonies and maintain delivery velocity in fast-paced technical environments
Provide executive-level reporting on project health, ROI metrics, and strategic recommendations
Drive adoption of observability, log analytics, and search capabilities across client organizations
Mentor project teams and promote best practices in Elastic Stack delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field
7+ years of project management experience with at least 3 years leading complex technical infrastructure projects
3+ years hands-on experience with Elastic Stack projects or similar search/analytics platforms
PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification required
Proven track record managing enterprise-scale data platform implementations ($2M+ budget)
Strong technical acumen with ability to understand architecture diagrams, data flows, and technical dependencies
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
Deep understanding of data ingestion patterns, ETL/ELT processes, and real-time streaming architectures
Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance requirements (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR), and access control models
Expertise in Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
Exceptional stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences
Strong proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, HaloPSA)
Preferred
Elastic Certified Engineer or Elastic Certified Analyst
Advanced degree (MS, MBA) in technical or business discipline
Consulting firm or professional services experience
Hands-on experience with Log analytics and SIEM implementations
Hands-on experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and observability platforms
Hands-on experience with Enterprise search and knowledge management systems
Hands-on experience with Data lake/data warehouse modernization initiatives
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
Understanding of machine learning integration with Elastic Stack
Prior experience in specific industries: financial services, healthcare, retail, etc
