Responsibilities
Operating a cash register for entry to the pool and concession sales
Putting wristbands on paying pool patrons
Checking coolers
Keeping pool lobby area/locker rooms clean
Making sure pool patrons follow all rules and regulations
Assisting patrons with rental of pedal boats
Operating a cash register for the rental of boats and purchasing concessions
Monitoring patrons on boats
Keeping the boats, dock, restrooms, and area clean at all times
Assisting the Marketing & Events Manager and other Management Staff with scheduling other seasonal employees
Checking in groups and communicating with lifeguard and maintenance staff as needed
Qualification
Required
High School or GED graduation and one year of relevant experience
A valid driver's license is required
Knowledge of safety and other rules and regulations of the park
Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees
Working weekends, holidays, as well as weekdays is REQUIRED
Preferred
Previous experience in Parks and Recreation, Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid training are a plus
Previous experience operating a cash register or point of sale system
Previous customer service experience or experience working with the general public
Previous experience performing light maintenance duties
A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement
