Responsibilities

Communicate regularly with education organization representatives to understand needs, develop data strategies and timelines, provide guidance on use of existing tools, and troubleshoot concerns
Create and maintain data tools to enable education organizations to collect, organize, and analyze data as desired
Clean, merge, and analyze quantitative and qualitative datasets to identify trends and insights
Work collaboratively with IDS team members to draft and refine reports, presentations, and data tools
Work directly with individual school leadership teams to analyze recent student data, identify whole group and subgroup trends, determine areas of focus, and plan action steps to be implemented by the school leadership team in response to findings
Utilize core tools and technologies such as: Spreadsheets (advanced formulas, data validation, automation), Power BI and Microsoft Fabric (data modeling and integrated analytics workflows), Data Visualization and Presentation (Google Slides, etc.), Custom Data Collection Tools and Apps (designing tailored solutions, e.g., forms, trackers, Retool applications, etc.), and APIs and Data Imports (automated data imports, integrations, and secure data pipelines)
Support business development of a growing organization through networking, outreach, data tool development, and new project proposals

Required

Bachelor's degree is required
Demonstrated experience in data analysis
Experience in either early childhood education, K-12 education, or higher education
Experience working in K-12 education and/or creating technology solutions for K-12 educators
Experience with school improvement planning or school leadership team facilitation
Comfortable serving as the primary point of contact for clients
Amazing skills with Excel / Google Sheets / Power BI, etc
Ability to get creative and figure out solutions to challenging data problems or process gaps
Self-driven individual with project management experience and strong organizational skills
Ability to meet self-determined goals and deadlines even in the face of challenges
Ease with juggling priorities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple projects occurring simultaneously
Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences in a clear, articulate, and concise manner
Exceptional attention to detail both in identifying trends and patterns
Ability to cross-check your own work and the work of others to identify errors and resolve issues
