Responsibilities
Partner directly with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Sales, Retail, and Field Service leaders
Lead requirement workshops and KPI definition sessions
Translate business objectives into analytics and data architecture solutions
Present architectural designs and analytics strategies to executive and non-technical stakeholders
Push back on unclear or misaligned business requirements
Design analytics-ready Snowflake data models (star/snowflake schemas)
Build semantic layers for financial and operational reporting
Architect solutions for:
Forecast vs Actuals
Variance analysis
Margin & profitability
Revenue and cost center reporting
Executive dashboards
Optimize Snowflake usage for performance, cost governance, and business querying
Enable secure data sharing and domain-based data products
Own enterprise data products (Finance, Sales, Operations domains)
Define business-aligned data quality rules and validation frameworks
Implement data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management
Establish governance standards for analytics and reporting
Enable cross-functional data sharing and reuse
Support and integrate BI tools (Qlik, Oracle Analytics, Power BI, etc.)
Design end-to-end reporting architectures
Enable self-service analytics for business users
Ensure consistency of KPIs and metrics across platforms
Provide architectural guidance to data engineers and BI developers
Review solution designs and implementations
Balance business needs, technical feasibility, governance, and cost
Support modernization and cloud analytics initiatives
Qualification
Required
8+ years in analytics, BI, or data architecture roles
Strong experience supporting Finance / FP&A / Accounting / Retail analytics
Deep understanding of General Ledger (GL)
Deep understanding of AP/AR
Deep understanding of Revenue & margin
Deep understanding of Cost centers
Deep understanding of Forecasting & budgeting
Deep understanding of Retail performance metrics
Proven experience translating business KPIs into data models
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and data modeling
Expertise in Dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas)
Expertise in Semantic layer design
Expertise in Analytics-ready datasets
Expertise in Performance and cost optimization
Experience with modern BI platforms
Solid SQL skills
Understanding of data integration and ETL (not primary focus)
Proven ability to bridge business and technology
Experience running requirement walkthroughs
Ownership of analytics outcomes (not just delivery)
Experience presenting to executive stakeholders
Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred
Experience in large enterprise environments
Background in Retail, Financial Services, or Analytics COE
Experience building enterprise data products
Exposure to data governance tools and frameworks
Experience with cloud data ecosystems
