Responsibilities

Warmly greet the public, register patrons for classes, answer district-wide and center-specific questions about programs and activities, engage visitors with natural resource questions, and complete assigned clerical duties
Independently open, close, and staff the front desk at the facility assigned
Greet the public, create a positive experience for customers through professional and courteous behavior, and provide information and assistance regarding schedules, program descriptions, and other general district information over the phone and in person
Answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate personnel, as well as take accurate messages
Perform general clerical support, such as generating prescribed reports, assisting the public with program enrollment by signing participants up for programs, receipting money, and performing related registration procedures

Required

Dependable, self-directed staff who are committed to delivering the best customer service possible
At least one year of general clerical experience, including regular public contact and customer service experience
Some exposure to recreational programming
Knowledge and experience in office management principles
Ability to create a welcoming, inclusive, and customer-focused environment
