The City of San Bernardino Municipal Water Department is seeking a self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment responsible for performing the physical connecting and disconnecting of water supply to customers. The role involves reading water meters, initiating and terminating service accounts, and installing and removing water meters.

Qualification

Customer service experienceMeter reading experiencePublic contact experienceField service work

Required

Graduation from high school, or equivalent
Minimum of six (6) months experience of public contact or providing customer service to the public
Possession of a valid Class “C” California driver's license. For out of state applicants, a valid driver's license is required and a valid Class “C” California driver's license must be obtained within ten (10) days of appointment

Preferred

Meter Reading or Field Service work for a public utility or like agency preferred
