Responsibilities

Safely operates equipment such as trucks, blowers, utility carts, push mowers, string trimmers, etc
Lifts objects above shoulder height up to 50 pounds
Performs facility maintenance such as cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, scraping, painting and sanding
Performs vandalism removal on buildings, play equipment, and other areas
Performs grounds maintenance such as trash and litter pickup
Replace trash and recycling can liners
Planting/flower bed maintenance, weeding etc
Performs playground surface replacement and upkeep
Assists full-time staff with various projects

Required

Ability to operate powered string trimmers, leaf blower, utility carts, pickup trucks
Ability to withstand a variety of temperature and weather extremes
Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors
Be able to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner
Ability to work irregular schedules based on project demand and weather
Must provide own steel toed shoes
Must possess a valid drivers license
Must be at least eighteen years of age
