Maintenance Planner/Scheduler
The Inland Empire Utilities Agency is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to support the reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance of the Agency’s critical infrastructure assets. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies, analyzing maintenance data, and coordinating with various stakeholders to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies that optimize asset performance and resource utilization
Define scopes of work and build job plans for maintenance activities
Ensure materials and resources are available for maintenance tasks
Develop short- and long-term maintenance schedules
Analyze maintenance data and generate performance reports
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
At least five years of progressive responsible experience in the design, installation, maintenance and repair of complex water and wastewater facilities and systems
A valid California Class C driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Agency's vehicle insurance program
Obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification within 12 months of appointment
Obtain and maintain Forklift Certification within 12 months of appointment if required for the assignment
Complete course work on Maintenance Planning and Scheduling within 12 months of hire or promotion
Obtain one of the following certifications within 12 months of hire or promotion: Certified Maintenance Reliability Technician (CMRT) Certification, Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) Certification, Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) Certification
Experience planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance in industrial or utility environments
Hands-on experience using a CMMS/EAM (such as SAP, Maximo, Cityworks, Infor, or similar)
Working knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical equipment
Ability to apply reliability and asset management concepts
Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in business or public administration, life sciences, engineering or a closely related field
Experience working in a public agency or regulated environment
