Responsibilities
Design mechanical components and assemblies for heavy‑duty industrial applications
Develop 3D models, drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for machining, fabrication, and cost
Perform tolerance stack‑ups, stress considerations, and fit/function analysis
Support R&D efforts for new product development and continuous improvement
Revise and improve existing designs based on field performance and customer feedback
Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation
Maintain accurate documentation including ECNs, revision control, and technical reports
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
3+ years of mechanical design experience in manufacturing, tooling, wear parts, or heavy equipment
Understanding of materials - steels, alloys, hardfacing, wear‑resistant coatings
Ability to design for manufacturability (machining, welding, casting, fabrication)
Strong problem‑solving skills and a hands‑on mindset
Comfort working cross‑functionally with production, engineering, and quality
Preferred
Strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred)
