They are seeking an apprentice to join their Serious Injury Team, where the successful candidate will assist solicitors in preparing cases for trial and progressing transactions, while gaining valuable legal experience.

Responsibilities
Supporting the Serious Injury Team within Irwin Mitchell
Creating and organising case files
Contacting clients and performing legal research
Assisting fee earners in advising clients from inception to the final hearing
Interacting with clients, Counsel and other parties in writing and by telephone
Obtaining documentation to support claims
Conducting research
Drafting pleadings
Preparing disclosure
Bundles
Witness statements and instructing Counsel to conduct hearings
Juggling competing demands on time and ensuring deadlines are met
Achieving time recording and fee income targets to ensure profitable working
Ensuring compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures
Attending appropriate training events as and when required
Qualification
Required
5 GCSEs at grade A• to C or 9 to 4 (or equivalent), including Maths and English
At least 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at Grade B or above
Ability to juggle competing demands on time and ensure deadlines are met in a fast paced, high energy environment
Compliance with the firm's policies and procedures
Willingness to attend appropriate training events as and when required
