Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related screening procedures and following site-specific policies
Monitor entry points to the location, conducting screening of individuals as required by site protocols
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public, assisting with inquiries and providing directions as needed
Document and report any unusual activity or incidents according to Allied Universal and client site requirements
Remain alert to potential security-related concerns and help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access through thorough screening practices
Assist with emergency response activities as directed, supporting the overall security-related operations of the location
Qualification
Required
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A guard card or license is preferred
CPR certification is preferred
