Responsibilities
Coordinate creation and submission of Pharmacy order templates (inpatient and outpatient)Coordinate assignment of Pharmacy templates to formulary items
Recommend proper limitations within the drug templates to promote safety (i.e. only able to order oral drug PO)Coordinate assignment of dose limits to drug orders
Coordinate creation of product-specific drug orders (i.e. gentamicin 80mg/100cc D5W – Infuse over 30mins)Coordinate submission of pharmacy components of protocol-specific order sets
Coordinate submission of an investigational drug formulary in the format required to upload to CRIS
Validate investigational drug formulary in CRIS
Create on-demand reports using complex SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures of the CRIS database in response to CC or DCRI Data Calls requests
Develop and maintain SQL packages and jobs to support reporting and quality assurance (QA) email notifications
Design, develop, test and implement a website to support viewing and updating configuration data
Design, develop, and test web pages for viewing aggregate data with charts
Supporting QA of configuration build and ordering statistics
Supporting performance metrics of production SQL system
Design, develop, and test webpages for updating content and dictionaries for supporting the CRIS system
Design, develop, and test webpages with utilizing C#, .Net, and the CRIS vendor API and ensuring security of access and logging
Assist in the design of the interface between Investigational Drug Management System (IDMS) and CRIS
Test and validate the interface between Investigational Drug Management System (IDMS) and CRIS
Design, develop, test, and implement the mechanisms to provide a safe and robust process for the ordering of non-formulary items
Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain the processes for creating labels for onsite medication administration, take-home medications, and prescriptions for take-home medications
Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain the processes for creating printouts/reports required to support drug distribution (e.g. Medication Supply List, Parenteral Therapy Orders, Cartfill List)Design, develop, and test Clinical Decision Support features
Provide recommendations for allergy and drug interaction warning functionality
Design, develop, and test order alerts
Design, develop, and test Clinical Decision Support modules utilizing MLM language
Design, develop, and test add-in modules for CRIS system utilizing C#, .Net, and the CRIS vendor API and Objects Plu
Design and test CRIS system to help documentation and links to Drug Information Resources

Act as a member of the Outpatient Pharmacy Project Team. Participate in the planning, design, development/configuration, and implementation of the system
Participate in planning, design, development/configuration, and implementation of the interfaces between the Outpatient Pharmacy System and CRIS
Assist in developing Pharmacy-specific training materials
Work with the DCRI Project Management Office for any new development to work in compliance with their methodology and the mandated EPLC framework
Follow the DCRI Software Development Life Cycle and Configuration Management processes for all Development
Complete plans and documentation
Enter and complete System Change Requests following the release management schedule
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of IT experience
5 + years of relevant experience
Experience with Medical Logic Module (MLM) required
Pharmacist certification desired
Pharmacist: 5 years
