Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day custodial operations to include sanitation, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal. This also includes responding to emergency requests and ensuring the customers’ needs are met
Assist other custodial staff in required training in policies and procedures and development standardized workflows in order to maintain a healthy and safe work environment
Performs facility inspections to ensure desired outcomes and compliance with applicable safety standards and specifications and maintains documentation of those inspections
Assist in the maintenance of material inventory, estimate, and order custodial supplies
Perform the proper disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials to ensure compliance with regulations and safety protocols in accordance with County’s Risk and Wellness Services
Prepare, review, and maintain various records and logs using work order systems
Perform and coordinate specialized cleaning projects to include floor care, exterior building washing, and other projects of a similar nature
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or G.E.D
3 years of custodial experience in a commercial environment
Must possess a valid Driver's License
Must pass a pre-employment physical
Must pass a Police background check, which may include but is not limited to: Criminal History Check, Credit History Check, Education Verification Check, License Verification Check, and/or Fingerprinting may be required
Preferred
Three or more years' experience as a custodian
Three or more years of managing supplies and working with contractors in a custodial environment
Three or more years of experience with Environmental Hazard Management, including management of chemicals
