Responsibilities
Conducting complex technical and field inspection work in health care and industrial facilities to determine compliance with various state and federal laws, rules, and regulations
Performing on-site surveys of mammography facilities, hospitals, physicians and dental offices as well as other health care and industrial settings that utilize radiation producing devices
Serving a role in the Radiologic Emergency Response Team
Qualification
Required
Associate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major in radiologic technology, nuclear medicine, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering or closely related scientific field
Possession of a current license issued by the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners which was formally the West Virginia Board of Examiners of Radiologic Technologists may substitute for the associate degree; OR if licensed by another State, the ability to apply for a license issued by the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners within six-months of employment
Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of hire and must maintain such for duration of employment
