Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including verbal de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions that may need attention
Control access by monitoring entrances, checking identification as required, directing visitors to the appropriate destination, and supporting visitor management processes
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems when assigned, documenting observations and reporting irregularities according to post orders
Complete detailed written reports for incidents, patrol activity, and client service interactions, maintaining accurate logs and shift documentation
Provide assistance with site order such as guiding foot traffic, supporting lobby and clinic flow, and responding to requests for escort to vehicles when requested
Assist with response to medical facility disruptions such as disorderly conduct, unauthorized persons, and property concerns, using approved communication and escalation protocols
Maintain a professional presence and appearance, practicing courteous communication and respecting privacy requirements applicable to a healthcare location
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
