Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for environmental, water, and wastewater services
Own key accounts personally, building relationships and identifying growth opportunities
Attend strategic partnership meetings, client presentations, and high-value sales opportunities
Build, track, and manage a sales pipeline, using KPIs and CRM tools (Salesforce) to measure performance and drive accountability
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and strategic partners
Organize, mentor, and coordinate the business development team, implementing structured processes and best practices
Lead proposal development, including technical content, teaming strategy, and post-submission follow-up
Collaborate closely with operations, technical, and estimating teams to ensure solutions meet client needs
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings

Required

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
8–10+ years of business development or strategic sales experience in environmental, water/wastewater, or industrial construction markets
Track record of building pipelines, achieving revenue targets, and personally closing complex deals
Experienced using Salesforce or CRM tools to manage opportunities and KPIs
Strong ability to lead and mentor a small team while remaining hands-on in key opportunities
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to travel to client sites, strategic meetings, and industry events as needed

Preferred

advanced degree preferred
Knowledge of emerging water/wastewater technologies (PFAS treatment, ion exchange, MBR/MBBR systems) is a plus
