Responsibilities

Serves as staff administrative assistant to the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO)
Researches and organizes background materials necessary to prepare responses for management dealing with both internal and external inquiries
Receives, reviews, and process various requests for facility rental, ensuring accuracy and conformation to policy
Serves as personnel liaison between the CFMO and the Personnel Office on personnel related matters
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Required

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in public or business administration
Requires two years of professional experience working in a comparable role in a public or private organization
Requires knowledge of both State and Federal (DoD and ARNG) personnel procedures, asset management, and written correspondence including laws, policies, and regulations
Requires a working knowledge of State and Federal office procedures and programs
Requires a general understanding of Military organizations, positions, and personnel
Requires active or retired (20 years) membership in the Illinois National Guard or retired (minimum 20 years) US Armed forces, if last duty assignment was with the Illinois National Guard
Requires the ability to pass a DoD background investigation and obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) prior to hire or transfer

Preferred

Prefers three years of professional experience working in a comparable role in a public or private organization
Prefers experience with digital knowledge management practices
Prefers experience and use of MS Office Suite applications or other applications
