Project Administrative Assistant, TRIO Program
Pacific University is dedicated to fostering student development and supporting underrepresented groups. The Project Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the TRIO Student Support Services staff and assist in managing the program's activities.

Responsibilities
Supports the TRIO Director and TRIO Advisor positions
Processes budget items and reimbursements in a timely and accurate way
Manages multiple schedules
Maintains accurate records, evaluations and assessments
Collaborates effectively with other staff and offices
Adheres to appropriate privacy and confidentiality protocols including FERPA
Actively participates in TRIO and Pacific University Student Affairs initiatives and activities
Works effectively in a team environment
Adheres to all requirements within the approved Department of Education grant
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in any field required, or, with exceptional other qualifications, near-degree completion with a commitment to completing a bachelor's degree while employed
Experience advising or mentoring students or young people, which could include peer mentor experience as a student or other student leadership roles
Evidence of administrative assistance capacities, such as office assistance work, tracking expenditures, working with databases, completing expense forms, and preparing reports
Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office or Google Suite applications, preferably including spreadsheets (or aptitude and willingness to learn)
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills
An express interest in supporting first-generation and other underrepresented students, preferably with direct experience of either having worked in or participated in a program similar to TRIO-SSS or another basis for relating to SSS students' experiences
Demonstrated ability to work with students of differing cultural backgrounds and identities, especially those who are low-income or first-generation college students
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to accomplish shared goals and objectives
Effective communication skills, written and verbal in English. Additional Spanish language ability, preferred
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills
