Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Dean, the successful candidate will play a vital role in the design and instruction of courses in both the undergraduate and MBA programs of the DeVille School of Business at Walsh University
The successful candidate will engage in teaching-related responsibilities and duties which include but are not limited to:
Instructing 24 credit hours, 12 credit hours in each of the fall and spring semesters distributed across the undergraduate and MBA programs, along with an appropriate expectation for scholarship (based upon rank)
Teaching specialization in any area of the finance field – corporate, assets and markets, or household finance, however, our greatest need is assets and markets
Teaching, developing, and revising courses and curriculum for graduate and undergraduate programs
Participating in assurance of learning
Engaging with students inside of and outside of the classroom, mentor students, advise students
Attending and actively participating in general activities of the DeVille School of Business
Actively engaging in ongoing professional development in the field of instruction
The successful candidate will provide an agenda for pursuing scholarly research consistent with Boyers Model, with the University and DeVille School of Business missions, and with specialized accreditation expectations
Ideally, the successful candidate will show evidence of, or demonstrate potential for, published research in professional journals and/or other appropriate scholarly artifacts, including presenting at conferences of professional associations
The successful candidate will engage in service activities which include but are not limited to providing engagement with students and professional assistance to the profession, community, University, and DeVille School of Business in accordance with his/her professional acumen and breadth of experience, and will attend and actively participate in university governance activities

Required

Professional and/or teaching experience in the field of finance or financial economics
Ability to teach at all levels of finance, introductory through advanced, at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated knowledge and application of current theory and practice in the field
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative faculty environment
Demonstrated effectiveness in engaging with students
The ability to maintain specialized business accreditation requirements

Preferred

Online teaching experience
Publication and/or research in finance or economics
A Masters degree in finance or economics (MSF, MBA-Finance, etc.), terminal degree preferred (PhD, DBA, etc.)
Certifications are a plus (CFA, CFP, Kingdom Advisor)
Professional experience in the finance industry where experiences are aligned with the above teaching responsibilities
Experience in founding or working in an AUBER member center for regional economic studies
