Shop Administrative Technician III (SAT III)

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is responsible for operating and maintaining major toll facilities in Maryland. They are seeking a Shop Administrative Technician III to provide administrative support involving storekeeping, scheduling, payroll, and purchasing duties within a maintenance shop facility.

Responsibilities

Serve as timekeeper for employees in addition to maintaining personnel requests and files
Maintain and organize maintenance and automotive departmental files and correspondence
Oversee vehicle and equipment key tracking and associated files
Prepare and process purchase orders, highway work orders, and stockroom withdrawals in Maximo system
Accept and distribute deliveries and process incoming mail and emails accordingly
Monitor statewide weather forecasts and enter the data into the emergency operations reporting system
Complete and process property damage, vehicle accident, emergency response and condemnation report
May be required to lift moderately heavy items at times, with or without reasonable accommodation

Required

Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Two (2) years of experience performing administrative support work and/or receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, materials, and equipment in a storeroom, warehouse, or other supply storage facility
Ability to type accurately at a speed of not less than twenty words per minute
Applicants must possess a Class C Driver's License valid in the State of Maryland
Applicants must list the license number and date of expiration on the Application
Candidates appointed to positions in this classification are required to satisfy the employing administration's training and certification program requirements
Certain positions in this classification are subject to call-in during off-hours and will be required to provide the employing agency with a telephone number where they can be reached
Eligible applicants may be subject to a background investigation under federal or State laws and regulations
