Technical Learning Program Sr Principal

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Technical Learning Program Sr Principal to oversee the establishment and implementation of high-impact technical learning programs for employees. This role involves partnering with senior leaders to identify upskilling needs and manage multiple program initiatives while leveraging technology-related learning solutions to drive business value.

Responsibilities

Establish an end-to-end plan to develop, solution, and implement tailored upskilling programs, leveraging GDIT’s tech curriculum, in alignment with GDIT technical capabilities, business pipeline and high growth areas
Leverage business insights to bring forth upskilling recommendations to leaders, partnering with the Technical Upskilling & Certification Program Team to pinpoint learning solutions and program target audiences
Build a large enterprise technical learning curriculum portfolio in GDIT’s Learning Management System, in partnership with LMS Content Curation Advisor, curating content by leveraging best practices and GDIT’s tech curriculum, to further enable employee development and career growth
Partner with Enterprise Technical Learning & Partner Delivery Team on program launch, coordination, and logistics, as appropriate
Establish technical learning curriculum standards, including regular cadence review and audit approach to ensure most up-to-date courseware, in alignment with industry and business pipeline trends, as well as certification issuers
Improve upon GDIT’s tech learning curriculum through analysis and identification of potential gap areas and offering meaningful suggestions to close the gap
Engage with established and potential new content providers vendors to explore new, supplemental, or enhanced offerings, aligned to current and emerging technologies
Collaborate and consult across the Technical Upskilling & Certification Program Team to ensure alignment of up-to-date strategic offerings for targeted upskilling through direct Program Leadership championship
Track and report on the effectiveness of technical learning programs, including but not limited to metrics related to usage, participant satisfaction, learning program efficacy via certification achievement, cost, and program/business impact

Required

10 + years of related experience
Bachelor's Degree plus 10 years of related work experience; OR in lieu of degree, 14+ Years of related work experience is required
Strong executive presence with demonstrated experience presenting to senior leaders, leveraging excellent verbal communication skills
Experience creating high-impact briefings for senior leaders, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data, coupled with industry knowledge to allow for collaboration, continuous improvement, and the optimization of our technical learning offer
Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for varying audiences
Excellent attention to detail, balanced with the ability to synthesize details to identify themes, support stakeholder alignment, decision making etc
Strong interpersonal, influence, and customer relationship skills
Strong project management and execution skills, including the ability to establish, communicate, and manage a plan with well-articulated milestones, as well as strong business acumen, and urgency with excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred

Experience creating and establishing L&D upskilling programs and solutions across a large corporate enterprise. Technology-related L&D programs is highly preferred
Experience with leveraging best practices for curating curriculum content in learning management systems (with Cornerstone On-Demand being a plus)
