Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex respiratory and critical care needs, including tracheostomy and ventilator management
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using established nursing processes
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain professional accountability and ensure patient confidentiality and rights
Adapt to flexible scheduling needs including every other weekend coverage, with shift hours from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
Active registered nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1+ years RN experience
Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
Minimum one year of experience in a stepdown or comparable inpatient setting
BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
Demonstrated expertise in respiratory care including tracheostomy and ventilator support
Ability to float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
Strong teamwork, dependability, and flexibility
Physical endurance and the capacity to manage demanding care activities including lifting and patient repositioning
