Responsibilities
In depth training on the processes, procedures, and technology used on a daily basis
A collaborative work environment that allows you direct access to professionals from every level with diverse skillsets and areas of expertise
The opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, including the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and/or S Corporations
Networking events designed to help you build relationships with your F&D family
Working with seniors and managers on a variety of client engagements from various industries, often times acting as the associate on the engagement
Gaining testing experience in many sections of the audit, including planning procedures, various balance sheet and income statement testing areas, and reporting procedures
Working on ad-hoc projects for the department as they arise
Traveling to client sites and gaining hands-on experience
Building relationships with team members and clients
Reviewing feedback with your seniors and managers to continue to improve your work
Reaching out to your Intern Buddy to get some advice over lunch
Networking with FD staff and fellow interns at firm social events
Asking questions and growing professionally to best prepare yourself for a career in public accounting
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing an accounting degree
A positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning new things
Problem solving skills and the ability to think strategically
Written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate professionalism
A strong work ethic and eagerness to follow through on assignments
The openness to giving and receiving honest feedback
Experience with Microsoft Office tools including with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites (Audit Only)
