Responsibilities

Assisting in recruiting, training and onboarding coaches and scorekeepers
Providing oversight of scheduling and developing team rosters
Ensuring playing fields are prepared for games in collaboration with facility owner/manager
Tracking and maintaining participation data and team statistics
Serving as the primary point of communication with coaches and parents/guardians, especially related to schedule changes, special activities and reminders
Maintaining software used for summer youth programs
Collaborating closely with Eastman Recreation staff
Gathering and consolidating feedback from coaches and participants and incorporating learnings into program enhancements

Required

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in athletics and coaching with preferred experience with children/youth
Proficiency in youth baseball, with an emphasis on fundamentals and skill development
High degree of professionalism with excellent organization, adaptability, attention to detail and follow-through
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred

A bachelor's degree in physical education, athletic administration or related field
