The Senior Property Accountant will oversee the accounting for a portfolio of properties, managing financial statements, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities
Own the month-end and year-end close process for assigned properties, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for properties and related entities
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances between budget, forecast, and actuals
Manage CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, and recoveries in accordance with lease agreements
Review rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and ensure accurate revenue recognition
Oversee fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure tracking
Support annual budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts in collaboration with property and asset management teams
Coordinate with external auditors and support audit and tax-related requests
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
3-7+ years property or real estate experience
Experience with Yardi or related software
Advanced Excel
Preferred
CPA would be great but not a requirement
