The role involves supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable work areas, preparing bank reconciliations, and reconciling various balance sheet accounts.

Responsibilities
Assist the AP Team to process vendor invoices and payments with appropriate support and approval
Assist the AR Team to bill customers timely and follow up on any past due invoices
Assist with monthly bank reconciliations
Participate in month-end closing activities that might include preparing journal entries with supporting documentation
Maintain and roll-forward reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts
Assist with gathering audited accounting documents for the annual financial audits
Write procedures and work instructions for assigned areas of responsibility
Organize team projects to develop and own process improvements for assigned areas of responsibility
Take on ad-hoc projects as requested and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Requires a minimum BS/BA in Accounting or Finance and 3 years of accounting experience
Excellent organizational skills, professional communication and attention to detail required
Self-motivation, good judgement, strong follow-up, analytical and problem-solving and results driven required
Advanced user level in Microsoft Excel
Strong sense for upholding confidentiality over various corporate, HR and other sensitive materials and data encountered during the course of work
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus
Experience working in manufacturing is highly desirable
