Responsibilities

From Ripples to Waves – Little things eventually can create a large impact. With that, this role will work PE-backed projects to prospect target lists (call, email, text, LinkedIn, mail, in-person meetings) to match companies with client acquisition objectives. These activities fostered over time will lead to closed transactions and great outcomes for all involved
Walk the Talk – The work is hard and requires determination/grit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate follow-through with all aspects of the sales process; providing weekly reporting updates in the CRM and to the Management Team
Be the Unsung Hero – Do the work and don’t worry about who gets credit; deal making is a team game. However we acknowledge those who put in the hard work and create outcomes. This candidate will work with other members of the Origination Team to develop opportunities to meet collective goals and objectives, as well as their own personal weekly and annual goals. Creating and following processes, and working well with others, are requirements for this role
Carpe Dealum – Seize the day and win the deals. This role will require prospecting skills to match opportunities with targeted businesses. A successful Originator will work the project, and not the clock. An originator that “lives deals” rather than “works projects” will be wildly successful in this role

Required

Bachelor's degree and minimum 3+ years' experience in a sales and/or business development role
Proven sales prospecting skills and track record of high-performance, growing and maintaining business relationships
Demonstrable success meeting outlined objectives and goals
M&A or PE related experience is a plus
Sense of urgency for goal achievement, varied activities, managing multiple and simultaneous projects, multi-tasking, fast-paced environment
Results-focused idea generation, process following/improvement, innovative and creative problem solving, rapport and relationship building
Action-oriented
