Responsibilities
Provide respiratory therapy treatments in critical care units and emergency departments for adult and pediatric patients
Manage ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen therapy, and airway care
Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis
Administer aerosolized medications and chest physiotherapy (CPT)
Participate in CPR and code team responses
Maintain accurate computerized documentation
Follow hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC required
Active Maryland Respiratory Care License required
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS required
NRP required
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
Preferred
STABLE certification preferred
