They are seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Business Developer to expand their client base, increase brand visibility, and position the company as a premier BIM partner nationwide.

Responsibilities
Identify and engage prospective clients such as mechanical contractors, plumbing contractors and general contractors
Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads through research, networking, cold outreach, and industry platforms (e.g., LinkedIn)
Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs, project scopes, and bidding opportunities
Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients through consistent communication and follow-up
Ensure new clients receive a smooth onboarding experience
Identify cross-selling and repeat business opportunities
Collaborate with ownership on social media strategy, campaigns, infographics, and content that strengthens market presence
Assist in developing marketing collaterals such as capability statements, case studies, and trade-specific outreach pieces
Represent The VDC Group at virtual or in-person industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings
Qualification
Required
Experience in business development, sales, or account management—preferably within AEC, BIM/VDC, construction, or engineering industries
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical services in simple terms
Self-driven, organized, and able to manage a pipeline independently
Comfortable with CRM tools, LinkedIn, email campaigns, and structured outreach processes
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams
Preferred
Familiarity with BIM workflows, Revit, coordination processes, MEP systems, or construction documentation
