AV Technician, Multi-Media Services

The University of Pennsylvania is a world-renowned leader in education, research, and innovation. The AV Technician will work as part of the Multi Media Services team to support classroom technology, operate AV equipment, and perform media production tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist in daily operations of an academic media facility: providing frontline tech support in media classrooms, language & computer labs and EQ Loan area
Deliver, setup and operate video projectors, laptop computers, video recording and conference cameras, PA systems, digital audio recorders, and other media related technologies
Provide post-production services; editing, video duplication, conversions, compressing and streaming, utilizing internal rack system
Supervision of student staff
Perform office administrative duties

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma/GED and 1-2 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience required
Record of strong customer service

Preferred

At least one year experience with media production - video, audio, post-production preferred
At least one year experience with operating basic AV equipment - cameras, mixing boards, etc. preferred
Basic IT experience (troubleshooting software and hardware issues relating to classroom technology) preferred
