Digital Accessibility Assistant - FSU Libraries (Part-time, OPS)

Responsibilities

Develop thorough knowledge of video accessibility by:
Running software to programmatically caption videos
Editing video/audio transcripts for accuracy
Assisting with other audio or web accessibility projects as needed
Foster Accessibility partnerships across campus by:
Exploring opportunities to collaborate with departments, faculty, IT teams, and student services to support accessibility goals
Helping build and maintain cross-campus relationships that promotes content creation
Raising awareness of accessibility needs, and encourage the adoption of accessible technologies and workflows

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

Experience and comfort with various online communication & collaboration tools and virtual platforms (including Canvas learning management system)
Experience in media or video production
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with library faculty and staff to promote teamwork within the Libraries and the campus
