Mid LevelThe Hills Church is dedicated to making and growing followers of Jesus. They are seeking a Film Director to produce and edit films that support their mission, collaborating closely with ministry teams throughout all stages of production.

Responsibilities
Direct and produce video projects on campus and on location, from concept through final delivery
Partner closely with the Creative Arts Senior Minister, Creative Director, and ministry teams throughout pre-production, production, and post-production
Edit and finish high-quality video content using professional tools, including color correction, audio enhancement, and motion or graphic elements
Operate cameras and capture compelling footage for films, worship services, and key church events
Apply strong technical judgment to composition, lighting, and audio, including equipment setup and calibration
Manage production timelines, resources, and deliverables across multiple projects
Ensure all video content aligns with The Hills’ brand, voice, and creative standards
Lead crews and volunteers with clarity, humility, and excellence, fostering a collaborative and servant-hearted environment
Recruit, train, and develop volunteers in both technical skill and spiritual growth
Remain open to feedback and collaboration, refining work in service of the broader creative vision and ministry goals
Stay current on filmmaking trends, tools, and platforms relevant to church and digital ministry
Qualification
Required
Foundational experience in video production, including assisting with or leading smaller projects from concept through delivery
Working knowledge of video editing and post-production using professional software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
Basic understanding of cinematography, lighting, and audio capture principles
Ability to manage assigned projects and tasks while meeting deadlines with guidance and support
Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with creative teammates, ministry partners, and leadership
Openness to feedback, coaching, and constructive critique, with a desire to grow creatively and professionally
Ability to support and assist on set, following direction and contributing to a positive team environment
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Flexibility and teachability in a fast-paced, ministry-oriented environment
Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of The Hills Church
Must be able and willing to lift and set up heavy equipment, up to 50lbs
