Storybrook Care & Rehabilitation is a long term care and rehabilitation center seeking a Payroll and Human Resources Professional to support their team. The role involves managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance, and enhancing employee engagement through various initiatives.

Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating payroll and HR processes for approximately 85 employees in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting
This includes preparing and submitting payroll to the resource team, managing timecard corrections, bonuses, and retro pay
Oversees all onboarding processes including I-9s, licensure verification, and employee file compliance
Ensures employee records remain up-to-date, monitors certification expirations, and supports documentation for employee status changes and wage adjustments
Works closely with department heads and leadership to support employee relations, assist with investigations, and maintain compliance with state and federal labor laws
Plays a key role in employee engagement by helping organize staff appreciation events, wellness activities, and retention efforts
Serves as the point person for day-to-day employee questions and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required
Experience in HR and/or payroll, preferably in healthcare
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
Preferred
Degree preferred
Familiarity with Paylocity or similar systems a plus
