Responsibilities
Administer and support Linux-based systems in on-premises and cloud environments
Serve as JIRA and Confluence Administrator, including configuration, user management, workflows, and space administration
Support STP processes, data transfer tasks, system migrations, and certifications across environments
Modernize authentication for SFD and WSG applications (55+) using SSO and PIV as MFA
Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning, application deployments, and tool upgrades using GitHub Actions, Terraform, Bash, and PowerShell
Automate database refresh processes, including schema and data copy from Production to lower environments
Implement automation for database password rotation and application redeployment on a regular cadence
Ensure security and compliance with standards across Azure toolchains and infrastructure
Lead and support application migrations from on-premises to Azure
Develop and maintain Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs) and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs)
Demonstrate deep understanding of data relationships, application architecture, and system interactions
Provide recommendations to improve security posture, monitoring, and observability using AIOps
Identify opportunities for cost optimization, workload scaling, database performance tuning, and infrastructure efficiency
Work closely with Security teams on ATO processes and onboarding of new services
Support and advise teams across various divisions in Azure cloud environments
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role
Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration
Proven experience administering Azure and AWS cloud environments
Experience with CI/CD and automation tools (GitHub Actions, Terraform, Bash, PowerShell)
Solid understanding of identity and access management, SSO, MFA, and PIV authentication
Experience with application and database migrations to cloud platforms
Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and ATO processes
Strong documentation and collaboration skills
Preferred
Azure and/or AWS certifications
Experience supporting federal or highly regulated environments
Familiarity with AIOps, monitoring platforms, and cost management tools
Experience working across large, multi-division organizations
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
