Responsibilities
Managing the full accounting cycle, including:
Journal entries and month-end close
General ledger maintenance
Bank, credit card, AR/AP, merchant account, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations
Reviewing complex tax returns, including nonprofit, partnership, S-Corporation, and C-Corporation filings, international tax
Conducting federal, state, and local tax research and supporting tax planning initiatives
Representing clients before the IRS and state/local tax authorities, including audit support
Performing tax research using CCH
Reviewing and monitoring budgets
Keeping partners informed on engagement status and progress
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Supervising and mentoring staff accountants
Participating in business development efforts, including visits to prospective client sites
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in public accounting with strong tax and accounting expertise
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset
Leadership ability and interest in mentoring junior team members
Desire for continuous learning and professional development
