Responsibilities
Assess project plans for airworthiness impacts
Review and assessment project development and test artifacts for applicability to, and substantiation of, airworthiness criteria
Work with internal and customer teams for airworthiness criteria applicability and compliance
Create and submit airworthiness compliance packages
Familiarity with airworthiness methodology and criteria, MIL-STD 516C preferred
Apply Systems Engineering principles, tools, and techniques to the Design, Technical Documents, Testing, and Certification of aircraft
Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance
Knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and loadable/non-loadable software
Skill and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
Knowledge of verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements
Requirements management experience
Ability to assess and document test or analysis data to show compliance
Resolves cross-functional technical issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
9+ years of related work experience
Experience in Systems Engineering
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with a diverse engineering team
Intrinsic aptitude for taking initiative, leading cross-functional teams and complex projects
Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities to ensure they are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner
