Responsibilities

Assisting ED providers with bedside ultrasound imaging and related procedures
Preparing, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining all ultrasound equipment
Preparing patients and rooms for procedures by confirming patient identity and positioning patients correctly
Facilitating proper provider documentation
Focusing on overall departmental readiness and enhancing the patient experience through tasks such as room turnover and general support

Qualification

Basic Life Support certificationEMT certificationPCA certificationPatient care proceduresInfection controlMedical equipmentEMTALACommunication skillsOrganizational skillsTeam-oriented

Required

High School Diploma or GED is required
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
Requires knowledge of routine patient care procedures
Requires familiarity with standard medical equipment and supplies
Requires basic understanding of infection control
Requires Knowledge of EMTALA

Preferred

EMT or PCA certification is preferred
Some experience in patient care within a hospital setting is preferred
