Research Scientist - Pathology

Responsibilities
Develop and perform scientific research projects for all types of cancer, cancer immunoprofiling and digital pathology. Provide technical expertise in immunoprofiling studies and digital pathology image analysis
Helping with a scientific approach when bridging the gap from human to mouse models
Histopathologic review of fresh frozen and FFPE tumor and normal samples from different types of solid tumors, their quality assessment and participation as a research pathologist with our APOLLO Moon Shot platform for the optimal collection and processing of human biospecimens
Reviewing slides and images for novel and interesting comparisons and identifying potential areas for further development
Create scientific content for digital pathology for immunoprofiling analysis protocols involving human and mouse tissue specimens, and respond to contingencies, revisions, etc. as needed
Assist the PI in data analysis, preparation of manuscripts and grant applications
Data analysis and reports for APOLLO and TMP, creating a system to manage data and reporting
Plan and supervise the training of technicians and other laboratory personnel with respect to proper laboratory techniques, the use of laboratory equipment and safety procedures
Build a team of pathologists that will respond to emerging objectives of the TMP-IL in particular, and those of key collaborators
Participate in group meetings and coordinate pathology work with disease site committee pathologists
Compiles, writes and submits reports to PI to be submitted to various requestors
Serve as immunology liaison to key collaborators and other disease site committees
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree in Natural sciences or related field
4 years of experimental or scientific work
2 years of experimental or scientific work with a medical degree
No experience required with a PhD
Preferred
PhD in Natural sciences
