Responsibilities
Prepare and support statutory financial reporting & NAIC filings
Manage monthly quarterly and annual statutory close
Prepare and review statutory statements, schedules & footnotes
Insurance accounting activities as it relates to deposit accounting, collateral, accruals, cash allocations and recoveries
Quarter and Year End reporting
Regulatory and compliance requirements, statutory audits, prepare financial statements, month end close, budgeting, forecasting, tax schedules, and filings
Provide support to internal audit and external GAAP auditors as required
Stat reporting and management reporting
Special projects as needed including data analysis and reconciliations, external reporting and process improvement projects
Qualification
Required
Strong statutory insurance experience
Prepare and support statutory financial reporting & NAIC filings
Manage monthly quarterly and annual statutory close
Prepare and review statutory statements, schedules & footnotes
Insurance accounting activities as it relates to deposit accounting, collateral, accruals, cash allocations and recoveries
Quarter and Year End reporting
Regulatory and compliance requirements, statutory audits, prepare financial statements, month end close, budgeting, forecasting, tax schedules, and filings

5-15 years of experience in insurance accounting
Working knowledge of statutory accounting and reporting requirements
Preferred
Background with an insurance carrier preferred; Big 4 a plus
Experience with GL implementations or accounting system upgrades is a plus
