Responsibilities
Design and analysis of sustainable building systems, Heating, Cooling, Ventilation within healthcare facilities, K-12/higher education and other buildings
Researches code issues and reviews drawings supplied by vendors, clients architects and senior engineers
Revises or changes of drawings and specifications
Coordinating work with clients and other consultants as well as in-house staff from other disciplines
Engage with contractors for pre-construction and construction support activity
Documentation of systems design in software such as Autodesk, Microstation, Revit
Able to draft when necessary with speed and accuracy
Engineering analysis work, including load calculations and equipment sizing
Occasional travel to client meetings and worksites
May be required to work extended hours in order to meet client’s demands and project delivery target dates
Performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Have or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 3 years HVAC design experience
Proficient with Autodesk Revit
Proficient with Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, and or eQuest software
Must have valid New York State Driver's License
Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
Must possess strong analytical, persuasive, and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
