Executive Director (Part-time)
PACE is a nonprofit organization focused on Parenting and Childhood Education, seeking its first Executive Director to lead its strategic growth. The role involves fundraising, strategic planning, and managing operations to connect the community with PACE's mission.

Responsibilities
Design talent systems and support the Clinical Manager and Hiring Committee in executing hiring, onboarding, and leader development
Oversee onboarding and training pipelines, managing contracts and documentation, reviewing the hiring/onboarding sequence, and determining leader-in-training readiness in collaboration with Clinical Manager and Trainers
Support leader development and retention by facilitating annual reflection conversations with contractor leaders alongside the Clinical Manager
Lead fundraising efforts for the organization, including identifying opportunities to solicit donations from individuals and institutions, and increase revenue
Establish annual fundraising goals in partnership with the Board
Oversee the implementation of fundraising efforts, including communication and events
Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and new donors
Maintain donor CRM records
Lead strategic planning in partnership with the Board, including setting 3–5 year priorities, proposing annual goals grounded in SWOT analysis, and establishing clear success metrics
Support Board development and continuity by contributing to performance review processes and succession planning for Board transitions
Manage financial operations, including processing leader compensation and vendor payments, and completing monthly bank, credit card, and PayPal reconciliations
Provide financial reporting and planning, preparing quarterly spending and budget-to-actual reports and drafting the annual budget with recommendations informed by historical data
Align program and financial targets by collaborating with group managers, the Clinical Manager, and the Treasurer to set yearly group goals, review fees and reimbursements, and assess budget implications
Oversee year-end closeout, collaborating with the accountant to finalize books, complete IRS filings, and issue 1099s to contractors
Lead organizational communications and digital infrastructure, including MailChimp communications, Google Workspace administration, and collaboration on website and social media updates
Manage key operational systems, such as maintaining the PACE Handbook and overseeing procurement of supplies and software
Oversee insurance and compliance, ensuring all sites are properly covered, policies are updated, and documentation and payments are submitted on time
Support strong governance practices by soliciting agenda items, preparing and distributing meeting materials, and ensuring timely follow-up on governance-related issues
Facilitate Board and Leader Meeting operations, including attending all meetings, guiding administrative discussions, and maintaining consistent communication with Board leadership and the PACE Leader team
Strengthen Board capacity by supporting Board member onboarding and ongoing development
Oversee site relationships and operations, including securing new sites, negotiating and signing contracts, and troubleshooting issues with site partners
Serve as liaison to the Advisory Council, creating meaningful opportunities for the Advisory Council to engage and provide feedback to PACE
Serve as liaison to legal counsel, ensuring bylaws and Articles of Incorporation remain current and partnering with counsel to develop leader contracts
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in nonprofit or mission-driven leadership, program management, or community engagement
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contractors and teams, and daily non-profit operations
Proven success in fundraising, grant writing, and/or partnership development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Deep alignment with PACE's mission and commitment to supporting families through the postpartum period
Prior experience reporting to or collaborating with a Board of Directors
Familiarity with the DC/MD/VA region and its communities
Comfort with nonprofit systems and tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Quickbooks, donor CRMs)
Preferred
Experience in perinatal mental health field and/or parent support programs
