Responsibilities
Perform High-Sensitivity Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections (FPI) on intricate, multi-axis machined parts to detect microscopic discontinuities in aluminum, titanium, and advanced alloys
Use your mechanical expertise to navigate tight-tolerance features, internal diameters, and compound angles using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
Expertly read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T standards for 'mill-heavy' contoured structural components
Make critical accept/reject decisions for components destined for the world’s most advanced aircraft and spacecraft
Qualification
Required
Current Level II Certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) per NAS-410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A
2+ years of experience inspecting complex, high-precision machined aerospace components
The ability to apply critical thinking to troubleshoot non-conformances in non-standard part geometries
Preferred
Familiarity with or interest in 2026 trends like Model-Based Definition (MBD) and digital twin validation
