DREAMer Resource Center Program Coordinator
Portland State University is Oregon’s most affordable public research university, located in the heart of one of America’s most dynamic cities. The DREAMer Resource Center Program Coordinator provides leadership for the center, facilitating co-curricular programming and community-building activities to support DREAMer students' success and retention. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance resources and connections for students.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the DREAMer Resource Center for the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of a space where DREAMer students see themselves reflected, embraced, and valued
Facilitate the development and coordination of co-curricular programming that supports student success through community-building and outreach activities, DREAMer centered programs, and leadership development
Provide connections to campus resources and services to support student retention
Work with a student advisory board to help build a community of learners and coordinate programs and activities that are relevant to the DREAMer student population
Collaborate with on-campus departments, student groups, and DREAMer community organizations to advance the center’s mission
Implement broad outreach and partner with local, state and national groups/organizations, such as CAUSA & Catholic Charities, in means of providing educational, legal and financial resources that help and empower students
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience in program development
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and diverse cultures
Deep understanding and awareness of the experiences and needs of DACAmented & Undocumented students (DREAMer students)
Experience working with college students in an enrollment and student services capacity as an adviser, counselor, or similar position is desirable
Experience organizing and planning programs, workshops and/ or teaching
Experience coordinating and developing programs and events for diverse learners at the post-secondary level
Preferred
Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Public Administration, Social Work or Ethnic Studies with 2+ or more years providing cultural programming in a college campus resource center
Familiar with organizations and resources in Oregon that serve DACAmented & Undocumented students and families
Knowledge of PSU and the Portland communities of color and organizations
Familiar with Tuition Equity and Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA) processes
