Start in 2026 SummerMartin-Harris Construction LLC is a leading general contractor in the Southwest offering a hands-on internship program for students. Interns will work with project teams in Operations and rotate through various departments to gain a well-rounded understanding of the construction industry and develop professional skills.

Responsibilities
Assist project teams with reviewing contract documents, plans, and shop drawings
Attend project meetings, including Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings, and participate in jobsite visits
Support project scheduling, progress tracking, and punch list management
Observe and participate in field safety inspections, orientations, and incident protocol reviews
Shadow Superintendents to understand field operations, scheduling, and inspection processes
Learn about estimating and preconstruction by participating in bid reviews, takeoffs, and bid day activities
Attend a business development event and gain exposure to client-facing functions
Rotate through additional areas such as Warranty, Accounting, VDC/BIM, and Equipment to understand how support teams contribute to project delivery
Connect with senior leadership and gain mentorship opportunities
Qualification
Required
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide two (2) forms of identification (Driver's License, Social Security Card, Passport, or Original Birth Certificate)
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Must be team-oriented and focused on inter-departmental collaboration
Preferred
Working toward a degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
