Responsibilities
Diagnosing and repairing machines such as production assembly systems, press systems, hydraulic, electrical, CNC, and pneumatic equipment
Identifying and inspecting machines in need of repair
Planning repair work using blueprints or equipment manuals
Performing general maintenance that does not require specialized technicians
Cleaning or changing filters, cleaning cooling coils, topping off fluids, and completing preventative maintenance on equipment
Repairing drywall, painting, fixing doors and other building fixtures, and changing lights, electrical outlets, and switches
Cleaning machinery and work areas after repairs
Inputting minor maintenance data into computer programs
Assisting the Lead Technician when needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ year(s) of experience with CNC machining centers, mills, lathes, or EDMs
Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
Knowledge of control I/O cards, axis motors, spindles, encoders, and press hydraulics
Mechanical experience in machine tool alignment, installing linear guides, ball screws, saddles, and slides, and laser positioning adjustments
General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building repairs
Ability to use hand or power tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, and man lifts (on-the-job training provided if necessary)
Ability to climb ladders, bend, crawl into awkward spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to work with oils, solvents, minor dust, as well as wear all required PPE
Preferred
Experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Haas controls
