Responsibilities

Manage a team of seven highly motivated and engaged environmental scientists and GIS specialists to retain and attract top talent
Mentor wetland scientists, wildlife biologists, and GIS analysts
Lead the team’s safety, values, and emotional intelligence-driven culture
Lead coordination with clients and city, county, state, and federal regulators
Grow the team through business development strategy, implementation, and proposal development
Manage Oregon and Washington natural resource mapping and permitting projects to help clients realize their goals related to environmental planning/permitting, and environmental reviews (e.g., federal/state/local natural resource permitting and environmental reviews, wetland and/or water resource permitting, Endangered Species Act consultations, NEPA/SEPA documentation, etc.)
Oversee contract execution and implementation for large clients, including federal clients
Lead annual and long-term planning strategy development and implementation while mentoring business development and marketing seller/doer skills in junior staff
Manage fieldwork for a variety of natural resources, including fish, wildlife, and plants
Manage wetland/waters delineations to comply with federal, state, and local requirements
Manage and prepare technical reports for a variety of natural resource requirements, including Biological Assessments, Critical Areas Reports, Shoreline Permits, 404/401 applications, NEPA/SEPA documents, etc

Required

Master's degree in physical, natural, or environmental science, or related field
10+ years of experience mapping and permitting natural resource impacts in Oregon and Washington

ODOT Endangered Species Act Qualified Biologist
other relevant certifications desired
