Responsibilities
Own compliance across all home product categories, with a strong focus on kids’ products, furniture, textiles, and décor
Ensure adherence to applicable U.S. regulations and standards, including CPSC, CPSIA, ASTM, TB117, CARB, Prop 65, and textile labeling requirements
Stay current on regulatory changes and translate requirements into clear, actionable guidance for internal teams
Review and approve compliance documentation, labeling, certifications, and test reports prior to production and launch
Establish and maintain quality standards, testing requirements, and inspection criteria aligned with Lulu and Georgia’s brand and customer expectations
Review product samples for construction, materials, safety, and performance
Implement and maintain a compliance database for all testing and filing requirements
Partner with vendors to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement
Support issue resolution related to defects, customer feedback, or compliance concerns
Coordinate third-party testing and certifications with approved labs
Maintain organized, audit-ready compliance files and quality documentation
Support retailer, marketplace, and internal compliance requirements as needed
Work closely with Product Development, Design, Sourcing, and Operations teams to integrate compliance early and thoughtfully into the product lifecycle
Provide guidance during material selection and design development to minimize risk while preserving design intent
Act as a reliable, solutions-oriented resource across teams and partners
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance within home furnishings, furniture, textiles, and/or children's products
Strong working knowledge of U.S. residential and kids' product safety standards
Experience working with domestic and international manufacturers
Familiarity with third-party testing labs and certification processes
Highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable managing multiple categories
Independent, proactive, and confident, working in a freelance/consulting capacity
Collaborative communication style with an appreciation for design-led brands
