JTED/CTE Student Database Manager/Outreach and Internship Coordinator

Responsibilities

Supports the Administration in the development and maintenance of the School Master Schedule, including CTE course/section creation, CTE teacher/classroom assignment and input of student requests, to stay in compliance with JTED funding regulations. Assists counselors in development of CTE student schedules and associated ADE database issues. Alerts and advises the counseling office of CTE class section availabilities and discrepancies in ADM related issues
In conjunction with the high school student database manager, district SIS & database manager and the high school attendance clerk, verifies and corrects all CTE course attendance and ADM integrity errors
Manages the clerical aspects of attendance as it relates to the ADE/CTE Student Database for 40thand 100thday reports
Assists in the maintenance and update of CTE student enrollment reports, biographical updates, concentrator and placement records, and assessment and program performance review records. Attends JTED/CTE/ADE technical meetings, as needed, to integrate new and emerging JTED/CTE policies and procedures for implementation
Maintains familiarity with the other general characteristics of the automated SIS and ADE Student Database and is prepared to initiate queries and respond to other clerical demands associated with student records and maintenance of the system, as related to JTED/CTE
Coordinates and manages clerical duties in assigned building
Performs other duties as directed by the JTED/CTE administrator
Works with local employers to develop ongoing student employment placements
Maintains communication with mentor and students, including driving to job sites to complete site visit checklists for the purpose of maintaining student's personal safety, a positive learning environment and complying with regulatory requirements and established guidelines
Matches student interests and goals with employer needs
Works with students to develop measurable learning objectives for their specific educational needs throughout the internship
Provides encouragement and monitors student progress through tracking student hours and progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, mentors, and CTE teacher
Counsels students for the purpose of improving performance, professionalism, and problem-solving techniques
Collaborates and provides CTE teacher progress of students work; utilizing the employer's evaluation of the student's work skills and professional development
Collaborates with CTE teachers, other school personnel, students, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of establishing an internship goal/site and other work-based opportunities (e.g. presents, masterclasses, industry tours, etc.)
Supports CTE teachers and CTE director with promotion of programs (including middle school events)
Monitors a variety of written materials (e.g. attendance forms, contracts, student reflections) for the purpose of conveying information, documenting student progress and/or meeting mandated requirements
Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources for the purpose of expanding opportunities for students
Assists with coordination of Internship Agreement forms and applications (parents, students, mentors/industry partners)
Assists with high school data collection for College and Career Readiness Indicator (CCRI)
Collaborate with industry, students, and parents for the CTE Annual Review and Needs Assessment
Represents the CTE department on the Falcon Connection committee
Performs other duties as assigned or required

Required

High School diploma or GED and two years of experience working with an automated database
Personal or professional leadership or management experience
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Level I – IVPP Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License and have a clear driving record through http://servicearizona.com
High School diploma or GED and a minimum of one (1) year working with students in a school setting
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Level I – IVPP Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License and have a clear driving record through http://servicearizona.com
