You're the person who makes that happen
You'll figure out what's keeping us from ranking, build the strategy, and work with our engineers to ship it
You don't need to be the one writing code
You need to know what needs to happen, and get it done
We need to win at local search, and we need to win that nationwide
This is a startup, you will report to the founder
You'll have real ownership and the authority to move fast
Qualification
Required
5+ years in SEO with real results to show
Experience at a marketplace, directory, or similar technology platform
You've ranked location and category pages at scale before
You can prioritize, communicate clearly, and work fast
Comfortable working directly with engineers to get things shipped
Preferred
Programmatic SEO experience
Local SEO across many markets, localized search
Experience with React, Next.js, or JS-heavy sites
Familiarity with AI search and how it's changing discovery
