Responsibilities
Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
Assist with the preparation of the foreign tax credit analysis, quarterly provision, tax planning and compliance (including Forms 5471, 8865 and/or 8858) for a portion of Morgan Stanley’s foreign subsidiaries
Assist with and develop various process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency initiatives
Consider the income tax accounting impact of transactions and consider uncertain tax positions under FIN 48
Ensure that any tax law changes or structural changes are appropriately incorporated into computations and reporting
Assist with U.S. tax audit related matters
Qualification
Required
Approximately 2-4 years of hands-on international tax experience in a corporate environment or public accounting firm
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities
Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel across a global workforce
Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
Superior work ethic with high level of accountability
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
